The quality of 4K video is very good, and the camera can be equipped with a microphone and headphones, but it does not have as advanced video features as the EOS R. The Canon EOS R6 is first and foremost the best as a lightning-fast still camera, and then preferably in sports, action and wild expensive, but is also an excellent camcorder.
However the R6 Mk2 has a very noticeable improvement over both of the other cameras. I also had to look at files from all three cameras using my Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 at ISO 100 on daylight photos. Pretty much the same results for noise and/or pixelization.
Resolution-wise, the Canon EOS R sits between the Nikon Z6 and the Nikon Z7, so it strikes a good balance here. Unfortunately, Canon decided to go with a very similar image sensor as on the Canon 5D Mark IV, which means that we are still dealing with older CMOS sensor technology, while Nikon is using newer BSI CMOS sensors.

While these can't gather as much light as the full-frame sensors seen in cameras like the Canon EOS R6, Video quality is also good, with the benefit of uncropped 4K/60p video with 4:2:2 10-bit
Setting Up the Canon R6 Custom Shooting Modes (C3 and Video Mode) for Video. OK, so now it is time to set up the Custom Modes for Video. A reminder and disclaimer that this is not going to work if you want to use your R6 for proper filmmaking. Total Manual mode. Utilising the new option of Canon Log 3, which was added after the 1.4 Firmware update.
R6 II is the way to go for speed, a7 IV for dynamic range and overall image quality. Mainly for video purposes but also true for stills, it’s just less significant. Reason being that Canon has faster readout speed, which means less rolling shutter, but they sacrificed dynamic range to achieve that.
RF 70-200 2.8 weather seals. View: original size. Canon’s been designing these things for a while so I figure they do a pretty good job of it. Yes I wasn’t using a zoom so that probably helps, given less entry points. The weather seals definitely aren’t a guarantee, even with “well sealed” bodies water can get in.
Canon EOS R5 vs EOS R6: low-light performance. While the Canon EOS R5 has the upper hand when it comes to resolution, the EOS R6 has a theoretical edge for shooting in very low light. The R6 has
