As you all know, the Outlander is a noisy fucker. It drives me insane to the point that this might be my first and last Mitsubishi ever. (but I have to live with it for another 2 years) I have searched around for definitive answers to locate, and turn off, all things that make a noise, but it's hard to find and gather the information.

Just to the left behind the turn signal stock you’ll see the menu button and you press that until you get to the wrench icon. Hold down the menu button. Now press and hold it until the wrench starts flashing. Press the menu button. Once it starts flashing press the same one just once to execute the maintenance reset.
With the car off, open the driver's side door. Hold down the lock button for 4 seconds, the hold down the unlock button for 2 seconds (at the same time). Then release the lock button, then the unlock button. That will reprogram the fob. If that fails, look in the passenger fuse box, it should be a 20 amp fuse and see if it is blown.
